Jennifer was having the worst Christmas ever. She'd just quit her job, her ex had happily married some blonde Barbie doll and the man of her dreams didn't even know she was alive.
Franko was through with women, or so he thought until the hottest little spitfire he'd ever met walked into him and set him straight. He now had five days until she left the mine for good to convince her that he was the Christmas gift of her dreams.
Excerpts # 1
She’d never felt so angry. How could they disappoint so many people, without even a second thought? They’d used some lame ass excuse, about the flight crew wishing to spend the holidays with their families. Well Duh! Who didn’t? Unfortunately for her and everyone else in her boat, they couldn’t leave site if the plane didn’t show. “Damn, stupid, inconsiderate…”
Her tirade was cut short by what felt like walking into a brick wall. Looking up…and up, she came face to…chest with the new hotty mechanic at camp. She knew it was Franko Chissolm, she recognized the shirt.
Taking the step back, she tilted her head further back to look at him in the face to apologize. Her mouth dried up at the sight of him. He was even more impressive to look at up close. His scar, that everyone was talking about, made him look distinguished and dangerous. She always did like dangerous. “Uhm…I…ahhh… damn…sorry about that.” His eyes narrowed quickly at her in anger, she didn’t understand.
“Listen lady, I may not be much to look at anymore, but you can stop starring at my scars right this second!”
Jennifer took another step back in surprise and frowned. Her bad mood had just gotten worse thanks to his obvious rudeness. “Listen, I already apologized for walking into you, and might I remind you I’m the one who got hurt here! You’re built like a freaking brick wall, where I…let’s just say I’m not. As for you’re scars, honey I have no idea who you’ve been listening to, but you are a serious babe and you’d better get used to tongue tied idiots like me acting like dolts around you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go before I stick my foot any further into my mouth.”
Brushing past him, she fought to control the blushes she felt heating her cheeks. She really needed to learn to control her mouth when annoyed. Although, the look on his face when she called him a babe, was worth some embarrassment.
Reaching the door to her dorm residence, she couldn’t resist one last look back to see if he was still watching her.

Great Blog Post Cancelled
Kind of stinks :). My mom is always harassing me when I talk to her on the phone. “What, you’re sick again?” I work with kids. Different kids every day. My husband works in a pharmacy. Think of the stuff HE brings home. Why wouldn’t I be sick all the time?
So, now that I am done whining, I want to talk about my new release this week. Tarot Card Anthology: Synchronicity 2. It releases on Dec 1 at Whiskey Creek Press Torrid.
Michelle Hasker and I decided to do this series of 22 special one card readings done by a psychic with very special gifts. Every year she is encouraged by the powers that be to give a specific 22 people one card readings. She doesn’t know who they are or when they will show up, but she when they do, she knows they are the ones.
The card is always unknown to her until she pulls it, but it is never the same one twice. It is the one chance for the one she reads for to put their life back on track. To realize that something is going wrong, and they need to fix it. Or their chance at true love will be gone forever.

Bianca's December Plans
Here's a look at my newest cover...
This book is one of two releases I'll have in December. Sweeter Than Wine is a full-length novel that is part of both my vampire and were series with Samhain Publishing. In fact, this book ties all my paranormal stories together. The main characters are vampires, but they have a very "close" werecougar friend who is key to the action.
The other story I have releasing in December is a short story called Solstice Dreams, which is part of the Whiskey Creek Press Torrid Celtic Love Knot series. It's been paired with a story by Barri Bryan and will be put out in ebook formats only, in Celtic Love Knots #7. Solstice Dreams is a holiday tale about two fey - a high court warrior and lower court mage - who are both searching for wisdom from the jolly old elf who lives at the North Pole. They have a hard time finding the old wizard, but they manage to put aside their differences and find each other in the process.
Busy times ahead, but definitely good times. I'd like to wish all my readers in the U.S. a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Kate's Muse
I know I usually don't post promos on my blog day, but as I'm battling a cold, and Kate's Muse released early, I wanted to blog about it. Not only that, but it was a LOT of fun to write. Really.
Kate is not too happy with her muse. She says some really nasty things and accuses him of things. She's trying to write a story and the hero is NOT cooperating. Neither is her muse. (who she designed the hero after) She's in for a rude awakening when she takes things too far.
Author: Michelle Hasker
Artist: Jinger Heaston
ISBN: 978-1-60168-068-6
Genre: Contemporary erotica
Publisher: Aspen Mountain Press
Publication Date: 11/02/2007
Sexual Content: Erotic
Price: $1.99
“You’re fired, damn it!” Kate shouted at the ceiling, slamming her fists on the desk for emphasis. “You’ve done this to me for the last time. I’ll find myself a new muse and to hell with you!”
Kate Sterling tossed her pen across the room and barely restrained herself from making the laptop take the same flying arc. She wanted to make something smash into the wall, needed to break something. Like her damn muse’s neck.
Pushing away from the desk, she spun around on her chair and glared at the potted palm in the corner. Shame it wasn’t a little taller. Though, she did have nine-foot ceilings… That would be high enough to make her muse dangle from a noose with his body jerking as the rope tightened until he couldn’t breathe any more. Or maybe his neck would snap when she pushed him off the stool.
“Damn, stupid muse. I hope you burn in the deepest pits of hell, your screams echoing in your ears as you burn for eternity, never finding peace from the agony of melting flesh and popping muscles and bones.”
“That’s a mite harsh, isn’t it, Kate?”
Kate shrieked and fell off the chair as she turned to look behind her. The man leaning against the wall looked exactly like her wayward muse. The one she’d just been cursing.
“What have I ever done to you, love?”
“Jesus Christ!” Kate scrambled backward as he leaned forward, his face highlighted in the glare of the light. He was her muse in living, breathing flesh. Impossible!
“No. If I remember correctly, you condemned me to burn in hell with Satan.”
“But you…you can’t be real.”
“I’m as real as you want me to be, love.”
If you're interested, I posted a deleted scene on my blog for my Friday Flash Fiction :) http://www.michellehasker.blogspot.com/

National Novel Writng Month (NaNo)
What happens, life has already tried to stop me before I even get started. Translated that means my spouse kept me up late, so I slept later than I wanted to this morning. I also have a doctor's appointment(Rheumatologist, yes I have osteoarthritis in my hands) this afternoon, so I guess I'll just have to write faster to make up for all the problems that have beset me this morning. Hopefully, there are all behind me and I can concentrate on getting started.
The goal of NaNo is to write a 50,000 word novel for the month of November. I am a very slow writer but I want to get faster, so I decided to try this and see it would help. I have a lot of stories I need to get done and submit.
No matter what happens I'll have words on the page, made some new friends and gotten together with ones that are close to me. We're going to encourage and help each other for the next 30 days.
Am I scared? Yes. Will I make the 50K goal? Probably not. But that wasn't my true goal going in. I'm working my way up. Who knows, maybe next I'll be able to reach the 50,000 word goal.
I'm off to start my adventure. You'll know where to find me.
